Global Business Leaders Unite for World Environment Day 2025

On June 5th, 2025, business leaders from around the globe came together to commemorate World Environment Day, reaffirming their commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable growth. CEOs and executives representing major industries gathered at summits, launched green initiatives, and pledged deeper collaboration to combat climate change. With this year’s theme, “Our Land, Our Future,” at the forefront, companies highlighted projects focused on biodiversity, carbon reduction, and circular economy models. “The private sector must lead with action, not just ambition,” said one keynote speaker. The event marked a unified front in aligning profit with planet for long-term resilience and impact.

At Allcargo Group, we remain committed to our mission to chart sustainable pathways and our vision to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2040. As a part of that goal, we are working on multiple fronts across the Group – adoption of renewable energy and alternative fuels and greener logistics practices. For instance, Allcargo Terminals’ (ATL) Chennai facility already runs on 70% renewable energy through solar rooftops and open access.
