Actress Lataa Saberwal, a beloved face in Indian television through her role as Rajshri Maheshwari in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has publicly announced her separation from husband Sanjeev Seth. The couple had been married for 16 years and are parents to a son, Aarav.
Making the announcement on social media, Lataa wrote, “After a prolonged silence… I declare that I (Lataa Saberwal) have been separated from my husband (Mr. Sanjeev Seth). I give gratitude to him for giving me a lovely son. I wish him all the best for his future life. I request everyone to please respect my and my family’s peace and not to ask any questions or call regarding this.”
Lataa and Sanjeev shared the screen as an on-screen couple in the long-running show and later in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. Fans also loved their chemistry in Nach Baliye 6, where they appeared as a real-life couple in 2013.
Sanjeev was previously married to actress Resham Tipnis and shares two children, Rishika and Manav, with her.
Lataa, who quit daily soaps in 2021, had shifted her focus to digital content and personal growth. The announcement marks a significant personal transition, and fans and peers alike have extended their support, respecting her appeal for privacy during this time.
