Rana Naidu is back with a bang for its much-awaited second season. The high-octane action crime thriller, which first premiered two years ago, stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Rana Daggubati, Arjun Rampal, Surveen Chawla, Kriti Kharbanda, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, and Dino Morea. Created by Karan Anshuman and co-directed by Suparn S. Varma and Abhay Chopra, the show continues to delve into the murky complexities of crime and family.

During a fun chat with IMDb’s Burning Questions, the cast spilled some behind-the-scenes secrets from the sets of Season 2. When asked who often forgets their lines and takes the most snack breaks, the unanimous answer was—Rana Daggubati himself! Laughing at his reputation, Daggubati didn’t deny the claims.

The cast also revealed who’s best at pep talks—creator Karan Anshuman topped the list—and the biggest improviser on set turned out to be Abhishek Banerjee. Speaking about the latter, Banerjee was also asked who else might do justice to his character. He responded, “Good casting doesn’t happen immediately, it always takes time. But I’d say Adarsh Gourav.”

Kriti Kharbanda, a new addition to the Rana Naidu universe, shared her excitement about joining the team. “This format of shooting is really hectic. I don’t think anyone had the time to welcome me, but I felt very much at home from the moment I entered the set,” she said. “My character Alia Oberoi is everything that I’ve never done before… I had so much fun playing her.”

She also recalled bonding with co-star Rajat Kapoor. “I wouldn’t call it pranking but we played along a lot. He was my partner in crime on set,” she smiled.

Rana also reflected on acting alongside his uncle Venkatesh, saying, “We’ve become closer. Being around him is always fun and inspiring. He sees life very uniquely.”
