Prajakta Koli’s wedding looks have been making waves, not just for their aesthetic appeal but also for the thoughtful themes that celebrate artisans and her cultural roots. However, there’s an interesting detail that fans might have missed—a striking resemblance between her Mismatched engagement look and her real-life mehendi outfit.
While everyone has been admiring her gorgeous green lehenga by Anita Dongre for her mehendi, it closely resembles the green velvet lehenga she wore in Mismatched Season 3 for her engagement sequence with Rishi (played by Rohit Saraf). Even her hairstyle is similar, featuring delicate floral touches at the back, making for a beautiful parallel between her reel and real life.
Prajakta’s mehendi attire was more than just a fashion statement—it was a tribute to craftsmanship. The custom-made, hand-embroidered skirt set was created by the artisans of SEWA (Self Employed Women’s Association), emphasizing her commitment to supporting traditional artistry and ethical fashion.
The connections don’t stop there. Her haldi look also bore a resemblance to her haldi outfit in Jugjugg Jeeyo. In the film, she wore a white lehenga adorned with yellow floral details, while for her real-life haldi, she opted for a white sharara with gold zari borders and noodle straps. To add a special handmade touch, she accessorized with delicate white rose kaleeras, elevating her bridal charm.
Prajakta’s wedding to her longtime partner Vrishank Khanal was a celebration of love and tradition. After more than a decade of being together, the couple tied the knot on February 25 in Karjat, making their wedding a blend of nostalgia, culture, and timeless beauty. Fans can’t help but adore the way she seamlessly intertwined elements from her professional and personal life into this grand celebration.
