“Playing a cop like Pradeep Singh has been both challenging and rewarding,” says Sharad Malhotra, who is all set to stun audiences with his intense and gritty avatar in upcoming crime thriller, Yeh Hai Sanak. The much-anticipated series premieres on 1st October 2025, promising a gripping narrative packed with shocking twists, complex relationships, and edge-of-the-seat drama.
Sharad plays Pradeep Singh, a sharp and fearless encounter specialist who forms the core of the series’ thrilling storyline. Joining him are Shivangi Verma, Ankit Raj, and Simran Sachdeva, who play pivotal roles in this high-stakes tale of secrets and lies.
Talking about preparing for the role, Sharad revealed, “I revisited some iconic cop films like Singham, Sarfarosh, and Ab Tak Chappan to pick certain nuances and add authenticity to my performance. However, I ensured that Pradeep felt fresh and unique to this story. In real life, I do see a bit of that cop-like smartness in myself — the habit of being cautious and meticulous. Sharing the screen with Shivangi and the rest of the cast was an enriching experience. During rehearsals, our energies really clicked, which I believe will translate beautifully on screen. I’m excited to see how audiences respond once the series goes live.”
Yeh Hai Sanak delves deep into the dark underbelly of crime while exploring the emotional complexities of its characters. With a perfect blend of action, emotion, and suspense, the series aims to keep viewers hooked and guessing until the very last frame.
As Hungama OTT continues to push the boundaries of digital storytelling, Yeh Hai Sanak stands out as a must-watch for fans of gripping thrillers.
