On the occasion of International Day of Happiness, actress Shivangi Verma, known for her performances in Tera Ishq Mera Fitoor, Choti Sarrdaarni, and web series like Yeh Hai Sanak and Hasratein 3, opened up about her personal philosophy of happiness in today’s fast-paced, validation-driven world. At a time when success is often measured through social media metrics and constant comparison, Shivangi brings the focus back to something far more meaningful, inner peace and authenticity.
Talking about her perspective, she says that for her, happiness is all about peace and balance. She adds that in a world driven by social media and constant comparison, it is important to stay grounded and connected to one’s true self. According to her, happiness is not about achieving perfection but about being authentic and having the mental space to simply exist without judgment.
Interestingly, Shivangi also connects food deeply with happiness. She shares that food is an emotion, especially for someone who has grown up in Delhi. Going back home and indulging in simple pleasures like golgappas and momos brings her pure joy. At the same time, she strongly believes in balance—nourishing the body with healthy food, staying hydrated, and enjoying favourite treats in moderation as a form of self-love.
Speaking about dealing with stress and pressure, she says that small daily habits can make a big difference. She adds that practices like mindful breathing, spending quiet moments without distractions, or even a quick workout help maintain emotional balance. She also emphasizes gratitude and the importance of staying connected with loved ones, highlighting that real human connection is something no technology can replace.
Sharing her message, Shivangi says people should not postpone their happiness. She adds that life is happening in the present moment, and it is important to appreciate little joys—a good film, a laugh with a friend, or a peaceful moment at home. She concludes by saying one should take care of their health, be kind to themselves, and always remember that they are enough just the way they are.
