Rising into the spotlight with her stint on Bigg Boss 17, actress Soniya Bansal has steadily carved a space for herself in the entertainment industry. Known for her work in films like Naughty Gang, Dubki, Game 100 Crore Ka, and Shoorveer, Soniya credits the reality show as a turning point that brought her closer to audiences and allowed them to see her authentic self.
Reflecting on her journey so far, she shared, “My journey has been full of learning and growth. One big milestone was being a part of Bigg Boss, because it gave me recognition and helped people know me better. Apart from that, my work in films and music videos has also been important for me. Every project has taught me something new, but the ones where I got to show my real emotions mean the most to me.”
Her time inside the Bigg Boss house may have been challenging, but it left a lasting impact. Talking about the experience, Soniya said, “I’m open to doing more reality shows, but only if the concept is interesting. Bigg Boss was a very intense experience, so I would like to do shows where I can show a different side of myself or learn something new.”
Interestingly, she is also keen on exploring strategy-based reality formats. When asked about shows like Rise and Fall or The Traitors, she expressed excitement, saying, “I think shows like Rise and Fall or The Traitors are very exciting. They involve strategy and smart thinking, which I enjoy. I would love to try something like that because it challenges you in a different way.“
Beyond reality television, Soniya describes herself as both ambitious and grounded—qualities that continue to shape her career path. “I am very ambitious, but I would also like to stay grounded. I always want to grow and do better work. My ambition keeps me motivated and helps me stay focused on my goals. As an actor, I think my strength is that I can adapt and try different kinds of roles. As a person, I believe I am strong and positive. No matter what happens, I try to stay calm and keep moving forward,” she said.
Looking ahead, Soniya has her eyes set on diverse opportunities across mediums. “In the future, I want to do good films, OTT projects, and maybe even work internationally. I want to do roles that people remember and connect with. I also want to keep learning and growing in my career.”
