When Hrithik Roshan speaks about fear, it comes from a place of lived experience rather than rhetoric. At a stage in his career where he has already established himself as a powerhouse performer, dancer, and entrepreneur, Hrithik is now stepping into a new role—that of a producer. At the Prime Video It Starts Here 2026, he announced the launch of his production house HRX Films, marking an exciting new chapter in his creative journey.
Speaking about his evolution, Hrithik said, “I became an actor out of fear. Fear of failure, to be exact. Every instinct in my body said, this is going to be impossible. But I pushed through that impossibility. And out of that space, HRX was born. Born out of the journey from hopelessness to inspiration. That was the transformation.” His words reflect not just vulnerability but also the driving force behind his transition from facing fears as an actor to embracing new challenges as a producer.
With this announcement, he is set to launch two projects The Storm and Mess. Created and directed by Ajitpal Singh, The Storm particularly stands out as a collaboration rooted in creative synergy. Sharing his association with him, Hrithik said, “And when I met Ajit Pal, I connected so deeply with his cinematic mind that I just knew that, I have to do something with this human being. I don’t even care about this. And we started chatting and a storm emerged out of that conversation. And then, there was this script called The Mess, which was lying on my shelf. And Ishaan was constantly trying to get me onboard.”
The series features a powerful ensemble including Parvathy Thiruvothu, Alaya F, Srishti Shrivastava, Rrama Sharma, and Saba Azad. The narrative revolves around five women—each grappling with their own wounds, dreams, and secrets—who find themselves caught in a dangerous web when a sustainable housing project turns into a deadly scam. As the story unfolds, their personal struggles surface, placing them in increasingly unpredictable situations.
On the other hand, Mess stars Pratik Gandhi and explores a gripping premise. What happens when burglars enter the house of a man with OCD? Who has to fight for survival? The teaser offers a glimpse into this intense and unusual storyline.
Hrithik will also be working alongside his cousin Ishaan Roshan, and has candidly acknowledged their ‘agree to disagree’ moments during the filmmaking process.
For Hrithik Roshan, this move into production is not just a professional expansion but a natural progression of his journey, one that continues to be shaped by risk, instinct, and the courage to push beyond fear.
