In the middle of Mumbai’s relentless pace, finding stillness can feel like a luxury. But for Kanwar Dhillon, unwinding doesn’t require elaborate plans or faraway destinations. The actor, currently seen in Udne Ki Aasha, finds his calm in spontaneous getaways, familiar roads, and places that feel like home.
Kanwar believes that living in a bustling city teaches you the importance of stepping away, even if it’s just for a while. His idea of a perfect escape is simple: a quick ride out of the city with close friends, surrounded by nature and silence. Whether it’s the scenic hills of Lonavala, Khandala, and Karjat, or the breezy shores of Alibaug, these destinations offer him a sense of reset without the need for luxury or overplanning.
For the actor, biking is more than just a mode of transport, it’s an experience in itself. The journey matters just as much as the destination. Riding through open roads with a small group of friends, discovering offbeat spots, and soaking in quiet moments away from crowded tourist hubs is what truly defines his breaks.
However, one place holds a deeper emotional connection is Madh Island. Located close to where he grew up in Malad, it has been a constant in his life. Sharing a glimpse of those early memories, he says, “We used to cycle all the way there, watch sunsets, eat ice golas, and just sit by the beach. It was simple, but it meant everything.”
Over time, those childhood rides turned into long motorcycle journeys, but the essence of the experience remains unchanged. Kanwar also speaks about discovering quieter corners on the island, including a peaceful dead-end and a spot called Kileshwar. “We’d just sit there, watch fishermen at work, and soak in the stillness. It’s peaceful in a way not many places are,” he shares. For Kanwar, these escapes are more than just breaks, they are a way to recharge, reconnect, and return to the city with renewed energy.
